The beautiful Danube...

...mostly blocked by the trolley that runs along it. Here's Inky, biding her time while her brother is taken on an emergency bathroom run to one of the hotels facing the Buda side.

(Greg says the residents of the "Buda" side are known for their inner calm and tranquility.)

This isn't so much a kid thing, but I loved Ljubljana, and I blew off class on my 21st birthday for a trek from Zagreb to hear one of these talks in Slovenia, http://www.mirovni-institut.si/eng_html/projects/wpu.htm - it's one of those things from the communist era that is a treausre, the Workers' Pink University, and some of the talks are in English. You might be able to talk a couple of the PH.D. students studyijng post-modern art and still bitter over Slovenia's entrence into the EU (they were only soveriegn for a few short years), as they come by the handfuls in Ljubljana, into taking the kids on a tour of the adjoining squatter's art commune (at least of several years ago) while you enjoy the talk. Have a wonderful time, I dream still of moving to Ljublijana.- Hope

Hi Milo and India and Greg and Ayun!

We are waiting for you here in Brooklyn to bring us back some treats from a gift shop. You've been going to all the gift shops, right? That's really the only good thing about a museum isn't it?

Have you seen any tombs or broken bits of wall? I saw a lot of those on my childhood holidays, but that's England for you.
You guys rock, we want to BE YOU!

Jenny (and Bill but he's not here right now)

Excellent tram shot. And I recognize those New Yorker striped trousers. India you are looking like a long tall drink of water as they say, or some kind of tasty fruit drink.
I particularly enjoy getting on trams in Prague or Zagreb and just sitting down and riding without having to punch a ticket or anything. Usually I have a weekly pass or something. So there is no shuffling through bags to find ticket. Just get on and relax. The trams in Prague last January had a lot of smelly sleeping people though because it was cold outside and I guess they didn't have any place warmer to be. The smell of alcohol was making me drunk.
I hope you all are having a splendid time. Hello and much love and admiration to all of the monkeys in the Halliday/Kotis clan.
